Music Is My Therapy

Try To See Your Favorite Country Band In These Three Venues

If you're a country music fan and you love live music, there are few better things to learn than hearing that your favorite band has just embarked on a tour. You'll be even happier when you check the tour schedule and see that the band will be making several stops in and around your state. If you're keen on seeing the band more than once on this tour, one way to approach this idea is to try to see it at different types of venues. Obviously, the schedule will dictate where you can see the band, but if it will be playing in a number of settings, try to see the band in these three venues.

Bar

Many of the biggest country bands no longer play in clubs, but you'll occasionally find large acts that get back to their roots by performing in this intimate venue. Seeing a country band in a bar can be a memorable experience. It's loud, sweaty, and crowded — three things that may not appeal to you on a daily basis, but when you're jammed into the venue with a pack of other dedicated fans, this can make for a memorable evening. The intimacy of a club performance may even give you the chance to converse with the band after the show.

Theater

Theater shows are another fun way to see your favorite country band. They're a lot more refined than watching the band at a bar, and that might suit you well — especially as you get older. Having a designated seat in which to sit is a drastically different experience than jostling for space with other fans on a floor soaked with beer. You'll also appreciate the acoustics of the theater and be impressed with just how good the band sounds in this type of venue.

Outdoor Venue

Another option for trying to see your favorite country band is to buy tickets to an outdoor show. If the band is touring in the summer, it may have a few country music festivals on the agenda. Outdoor concerts are markedly different from indoor events but very appealing. You'll enjoy the ability to walk around the venue before your band comes on stage and listen to other acts. Depending on the venue's setup, you may also be able to lay a blanket on the grass and sit back to enjoy the music once your band's performance begins.
